a meltdown cometh?
February 4, 2009
at least 48 million of us recognized that bo doesn’t walk on water. and even with all the carefully planned stage craft and image building, some are saying he is setting himself up for a presidential meltdown.
though i don’t think his fans are wringing their hands just yet over this piece, i think it’s an amazing read — here is the money quote:
“Obama immediately must lower the hope-and-change rhetoric, ignore Reid/Pelosi, drop the therapy, and accept the tragic view that the world abroad is not misunderstood but quite dangerous. And he must listen on foreign policy to his National Security Advisor, Billary, and the Secretary of Defense. If he doesn’t quit the messianic style and perpetual campaign mode, and begin humbly governing, then he will devolve into Carterism—angry that the once-fawning press betrayed him while we the people, due to our American malaise, are to blame.”
barack obama in just a few short weeks as potus has already lost his glow-y hopechangery.
his cabinet is clinton-esque with a bunch of smarmy old washington types in high places; his backpeddling on gitmo and iraq - a :snort: for sure; his mood music at events instead of playing ‘hail to the chief’ disrespectful; the long list of ‘exemptions’ from his no-lobbyist pledge is just an outright deception on his part; and his flub over confirmations and taxes? ridiculous, naive, and embarrassing. The One needs to quit strutting around being ‘cool‘ and put his big boy pants on for gosh sakes!
just yesterday, his impatient and woefully inept wh spokesperson repeated several times ‘the most ethical administration ever’ — well thats awesome except that those words do not describe bo’s actions.
indeed bo’s silly pretentiousness as messiah king boy president is, in my opinion, laying the foundation for a great groundswell revolt by conservatives and others in this country who will be watching and thinking buyers remorse. in the meantime however, the buck stops with him.

Keep dreaming neo-cons. You failed to mention that Barack has a phenomenal approval rating and that of all of his accomplishments to date, the American people support all of them.

Keep trying though. You are very humorous.

When you campaign as though you are the second coming of Jesus Christ, then the fall when your cult followers finally see you aren’t all you claimed is going to be great. BHO, it seems, failed to take that into consideration. He’s in way over his head. Once again the left, who falsely view themselves as being intellectuals, prove they aren’t even in the same neighborhood. The bloom is coming off the rose….. early.

So Kevin - your justification for claiming that the American people support everything that P.BO has done so far is an opinion piece in the LA Times, complete with comment section?
Good lord.
Take a dose of reality.
In the latest
Rasmussen Poll, you’ll see that opposition for the sham of a stimulus package has grown from 34% to 43%, in just 2 weeks.
Add to that the withdrawal of 2 of his cabinet appointees over tax evasion and I’d say the American may just be starting to wake up and smell the dung heap in the White House.
Sure he’s got a phenomenal approval rating - he hasn’t really done anything yet.

Say what you want, the country and the world is feeling much happier and more positive about Obama being out President. Some of you people in here are just mean. There will not be a meltdown. Even though you all are waiting like a dog salivating over a steak. Get a grip.

From Kate’s source:
“Abroad, some really creepy people are lining up to test Obama’s world view of “Bush did it/but I am the world”: The North Koreans are readying their missiles; the Iranians are calling us passive, bragging on nukes and satellites; Russia is declaring missile defense is over and the Euros in real need of iffy Russian gas; Pakistanis say no more drone attacks (and then our friends the Indians say “shut up” about Kashmir and the Euros order no more “buy American”).”
Fearmonger, revving up the crowd, getting people to hide under their beds. Thats all you people do. Couple this with what Darth Vader is saying today because he hates being out on his azz like Shrub and you have nothing but a bunch of idiots hoping for their glory days to return.

“to date, the American people support all of them. ”
Bullsh*t Kevin, you cant just make crap up.
“Support for the economic recovery plan working its way through Congress has fallen again this week. For the first time, a plurality of voters nationwide oppose the $800-billion-plus plan.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 37% favor the legislation, 43% are opposed, and 20% are not sure. ”
LA times blogs ???????????????????//
Hahahahahahahaha, you are serious, arent you ?
oops, Kris already put up Rasmussen, oh well.
kev, boony
Obama is shaping up to the lying decietful snake I said he was all along.
hes keeping almost all of Bushs foreign policies because he had reality displayed to him at his initial security briefings and decided since he cant think for himself he’d better play it safe and just leave things as they are.
Yea, and then theres the a$$clowns hes keeps trying to slip into the office under our noses.
Why dont you have some self esteem and shut your ignorant yap unless you can actually prove that what Kate says is fearmongering ?
These are relative facts in the world theatre that your messiah should be sweating his balls off over rifght now, if he has any.
Which brings us right back to the point Kate was making.
Your messiah is about to be tested. And not by seeing if he knows how to sign executive orders that are noting but jokes intended as only something for you babys to have something to suck on so you’ll shut up and leave him alone for a while.
The world is disregarding him as if hes the empty suit we all know he is.
L.A. Times blogs.
thats too much.
February 4th, 2009 at 4:59 pm
Well, cut Kevin some slack. All he has are LA Times editorials as “facts”. LOL!!!
Fearmongering?!?! Hey Kevin, why don’t you check out your messiah who has been screaming “catastrophe!!!!” about the economy unless they pass his stimulus plan. A plan that will do very little to stimulate the economy.
Any comment about that? Or is fearmongering acceptable with you as long as its your guy doing the screaming?
How pathetic.

>>Some of you people in here are just mean.
Coming from the same individuals who were saying “Bush is Hitler,” this type of accusation is beyond laughable.

Kevin, you’ve overdosed on the Kool Aid. What accomplishments? — Getting elected. You idiot!!!
February 5th, 2009 at 8:18 pm
Some of you people in here are just mean. There will not be a meltdown.
Mean? Like “Bush Lied, People Died” mean? Like “Chimpy McBush” mean? Or like “Sarah Palin Faked Her Pregnancy” mean? I’ve not seen anybody from the Conservative end of the spectrum saying anything even remotely resembling the spew that emanates still from the mouths and screens of the Left.
And the meltdown has already begun, in case you’ve been too busy basking in reflected glory to pay attention. The guy who promised Hope’n'Change is bringing in all the usual Beltway insiders, save for - what are we up to at this point? Four? - those who have suddenly discovered that they “forgot” to pay a few thousand or a few tens of thousands in taxes. I’m reminded of Clinton’s claim that he was “gonna have the most ethical administration in the history of the country”. Folks are already noticing that Obambi’s just more of the same, and that Hillary’s indictment regarding his fundamental lack of experience was actually correct.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, his biggest fans will, in the end, be the most disappointed and his toughest critics. The rest of us knew better!
