pride goeth before the fall

Date February 11, 2009

with the passing of the stimulus porkulus in the senate, the dems because they can, are now stuffing back into it all the pork they pulled out in a back room somewhere in dc.

many of our elected representatives on the Democratic side seem to think we exist only as a useful ATM for their ridiculous liberal spending projects. frankly we do not matter to them, except as a means of support for their big government agenda. and when limousine liberals are called on the carpet by us, they fall back on the ‘i voted my conscience’ position.

senator from new york, chucky ’schmucky’ schumer (as mark levin would say), took to the Senate floor to rub all of our noses ‘in it’ saying this:

‘Let me say this to all of the chattering class that so much focuses on those little, tiny, yes, porky amendments: the American people really don’t care.’

here’s the vid:

is this not infuriating? the shear prideful arrogance of democrats who demean those who dissent is more then appalling.

do we care? if we do, lets use schumer as a point person. please call him and tell him. here is his dc office number 202-224-6542 and his ny office 212-486-4430. there is an small expense i know, but it would be worth the cost to stand up and not shut up. hotair even suggests sending chucky pork rinds as well. heh.

more then one trillion dollars of YOUR money, is about to be mostly used for democratic paybacks and slush funds. the debt incurred won’t be paid off in our lifetime. the policies and precendents set, will be with us for decades. be informed. don’t simply take it just because someone says ‘but we need a stimulus package!’

they keep reminding us that they won last november. true that. and with that victory, the true culture of corruption arrived, and it’s partying on our dime.

To further clarify, that would be those of us who pay Federal Income Tax, not those who don’t pay at all or only pay their portion (7.65%) in payroll tax. IOW, the “YOUR money” primarily came from conservatives and not liberals.

Schumer and his ilk are going to continue to try to draw from the well, but the owners are going to shelter and otherwise hide the water. It will provide the Dems the opportunity to claim that things would turn around if only the business and investor class would take higher risk and re-enter the market, but the business and investor class didn’t become the business and investor class by taking foolish risks. We’ll sit on our capital like we did in 93-94 and wait it out. Why? Because we can.

    Welcome to the new Amerika.

Don’t forget when Obama said “The American people don’t need to be convinced”, so we’ve quickly moved from “We don’t care what conservatives think.” to “We don’t care what anybody else thinks.”

Couple those statements with the fact that public support for the stimulus has fallen to its lowest point:

Just remember, comrades, the government knows better than you how to spend YOUR money.

This is rich. The Republican congress people have been comparatively quiet since Monday.
They have been letting Faux, Rush and the out of office guys do their dirty work. Oh and you little yappers of course.
What do you do from here?
You are on the wrong side of history and have just displayed for big money that you no longer have any power. Big money has to turn its attention to the Democrats and start negotiations.
Republicans are so 8 years ago.

It’s by no means perfect, but the changes they made are definitely for the better. It’s too small imo and still too many tax cuts, but this is an acceptable compromise.

HA! The stimulus passed and I suppose you all have wet your pants! I am disappointed there is such little action in here. I imagine you are all too depressed to comment. Is Micky jumping off a bridge about now with Ken the Cop positioned to catch his retched person?

And Kate your answer to this is to call Schumer?? O pleeeze. You are such a little neophyte. Pssst: they take their phones off the hook! They unplug them! They toggle switches that say “mailbox full”!

Here is the deal: They don’t care about your opinion or your little hissy fit. They have set a course and it will be followed. Progress will be made inspite of you and your creepy little following. You and your buddies have no impact. Now that it’s passed lets think of something silly you can whine about tomorrow. How about more on our beloved First Lady? You love to dump on her!

It’s so much fun watching the neo-socialists (like that one!) come in here and pat themselves on the back for selling out the next couple of generations.

Asia, whether or not we’re on the wrong side of history, only time will tell. However, there are PLENTY of people, many economists, who think this stimulus is not going to do anything for the economy. Of course, that was never the intention, was it?

This was just an excuse to funnel billions of taxpayer dollars to liberal pet projects.

“They have been letting Faux, Rush and the out of office guys do their dirty work.”

LOL!!! Thanks for that, Asia, I needed a good laugh. The entire media, with the exception of a few, have been in Obama’s back pocket, completely abandoning any resemblance of journalistic objectivity or integrity and all you can do is whine about Fox news and Rush Limbaugh, that’s funny!! What color is the sky in your world, anyway??

“They have set a course and it will be followed.”

They sure have, Kevin, a course right over the edge and blind, deaf, and dumb followers like you have enabled it. Congrats!!!!!!!

Well Schumer pretty much summed up what we are in for. Not only that, he said what he did with a smirk oops smile on his face. Disgusting………………………….

And good little puppy Kevin followed right along “They don’t care about your opinion or your little hissy fit.” Kevin you seem quiet proud that a United States Senator would take his phone off the hook, unplug it, or toggle a switch to say mailbox full. Kinda stupid if you ask me that they wouldnt want phone calls from the very people that voted them into office and pay thier salaries. Are you telling me this is how the dems play? Intresting…………………………….I bet when running for office they accept the call.

Oh and you know, some people are like that little white dot on top of chicken poop, they bring a smile to your face because because you know their poop too.

Ok Kevin I know you secretly like me, I can tell by the way you type my name…………YOUR TURN

You’re the idiot that thought this bill was going to give us all jobs by Oct. ( a claim that was shot up yer ass and never to be heard again)
I’m fine buddy, I saw this crap coming 2 years ago. I have a funny thing you’ve probably never had too much of, its called money.
Its you and your lobotomy lemmings that will be jumping off that bridge you bought when the public stops paying taxes to support you’re lazy ass and the fed no longer can meet its obligations.

Like I said buddy, but I’ll say it more to your comprehension this time.

You’re a f*ckin idiot who couldn’t debate a point if your miserable life depended on it.
You’re just a punk ass little b*tch who likes to stick his dick in things and stir it up without ever knowing what the hell it is you stuck it in.
You’re a joke, a court jester, an ass clown who doesn’t understand the basic fundamentals of how government works.
You have no idea what a source of humor you are to us who actually are able to think on more than one level at a time and carry complex thought.
You’re a simpleton gutless thoughtless selfish asswipe who couldn’t give a sh*t about your country or its future generations that thinks everything should be afforded to you by the government.
Just remember, you guys own this sh*t.
And when it fails you’ll be going thru BDS withdrawals because you’ll have no one to blame but yourselves.

There’s not a plan in this bill that will come to any fruition for at least 2 to 3 years, those are the facts.
Now go celebrate the “exotic” ass hosing you voted for.

The sad thing is that most of this money will not be spent until later this year. The Congressional Budget Office has already predicted that the U.S. will begin recovering from the recession later this year, even without the stimulus.

    http://blogsforvictory.com/2009/02/09/cbo-recession-will-end-in-2009/

“CBO anticipates that the current recession, which started in December 2007, will last until the second half of 2009″

So, when the economy begins to recover later this year, or even next year, the Obamaslobs in the media will give all the credit to the Messiah. How sad.

The article also notes Obama’s complete lack of knowledge of economic history or the fact that he’s a liar, you decide:

“This recession, however, may not result in the highest unemployment rate. That rate, in CBO’s forecast, rises to 9.2 percent by early 2010 (up from a low of 4.4 percent at the end of 2006) but is still below the 10.8 percent rate seen near the end of the 1981–1982 recession.”

Hmmmmm, 1981-1982 would those be the first two years following Jimmy Carter’s disastrous reign? I believe it is. Will history repeat itself? Even if it does, somehow they’ll blame Bush. LOL!!

LMFAO at your indignation. Does that mean I only get 400 dollars in tax credit instead of 500?

  17. Ted said:

Given the way business and investors will react to the current pork bill and what they know is coming, I can’t agree with the CBO forcast as posted by Ken. Had the Fed Reserve simply acted as the lender of last resort and we not had this pork bill, then I would agree the recession would be short-lived. This trillion dollar mess is going to create a different scenerio.

As far as economic models go, it’s 1973 all over again. Hyper-infaltion is on the way. People with money will not lose anymore value than they already have, which means they are going to be very selective in any investments they do make. For example, purchasing real property is a hedge against inflation, so their investments will be along those lines.

Democrats/liberals, including the 3 who have posted in this thread, voted for the current pResident OJT (On the Job Training) because he promised he’d give them some money, and a new job, and free food, shelter, and clothing. Libs will fall for the populist line every time. They’re in for a big surprise.

Actually Jared, can I call you sh*t for brains ?
Take the 500, ya know why ?
Because if you do the math it comes to about 1.36 a day in one fiscal tax year.
Thats more than you’re really worth, or probably ever got giving gum jobs on blogs.

  20. Ken said:

“It doesn’t require any leadership or intelligence to spend someone elses money now does it?”

The ironic thing is that without the conservatives there would be no taxpayers money to spend!!! Democrats sure don’t pay there taxes, if Obama’s cabinet picks are any indication.

So Kevin - since you seem to comment here with alarming regularity, I presume you include yourself as part of the “creepy little following”.

Progress? Please tell me how spending $30 million on saving the Harvest Mouse in San Francisco Bay will stimulate the economy?

Politicians are elected and serve at the good humor of the people who elected them. They don’t listen to us and we elect someone else. That’s how our system works.

“They don’t care about your opinion or your little hissy fit.”

Isnt that pretty much the problem you guys were crying about for 8 years ?
But of course for idiots like yourself ot doesnt matter that this problem is prevalent on both sides of the aisle, instead of wanting to do something about it so that our government is actually held accountable to the people (as it is written) you take advantage of this arrogance only to promote your ideological bigotry.
The point you idiot moonbats are missing also is that Schumer is not only refering to the right when he says that the American people dont care. He is saying “Americans as a whole”, meaning you too Kevin.
Or are you so ideologically blinded that you assume he is only disregarding the wishes of those you despise ?
Point being that since 2/3 of the country does not want this stimulus, or form of stimulus and the popular vote was a 46/54 split I hardly see how the 2/3rds that do not want this could all be republicans.
Do you understand that math ? And how it points to Schumer also telling you to get f*cked ?
Not that I care what happens to your ass, I thought I would mention that in the hopes your idiocy would not be so steep so as to prevent you from seeing how stupid you are in your pursuit to somehow look as if you have a clue.

According to Rasmussen polls most of the country doesn’t seem to feel as exuberant as Kevin does.

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/trust_on_issues/trust_on_issues

Twenty-six percent (26%) of American voters say the nation is moving in the right direction, while 66% say it is heading down the wrong track, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

The number of voters who think America is moving in the right direction is down slightly from last week’s high of 29%,

Last week 62% said the nation was heading down the wrong track.

56% Oppose Any More Government Help For Banks
Americans are clear on one thing: 75% say the federal government should not take over the U.S. banking system.
Only nine percent (9%) think nationalization of America’s banks is a good idea

62% Want Stimulus Plan to Have More Tax Cuts, Less Spending

When dems were asked who could run congress better 46% said republicans 50 % said democrats.

When it comes to taxes, voters say they trust the GOP more by a 44% to 41%, after the parties were tied on the issue in January.

Voters trust Republicans more on national security - for the fourth straight month.

Thirty-nine percent (39%) of voters trust the GOP more when it comes to immigration, while 37% trust the Democrats more. A month ago, the Democrats led by seven on this issue.

This congress has already begun to wear its welcome thin, people are getting hip to what a bunch of self indulged loosers they are.
While most of the country agrees that some sort of stimulus is in order if this POS bill fails the same way its offshoot b*tch sybling “The New Deal ” did, it wont be long before Obamas numbers are neck in neck with the worst congress this country has ever seen.
As the polls reflect, that may be sooner than later.
