bravehearticans
February 15, 2009
you may have seen this at hotair or you may have chris muir’s cartoons on your own blog. mine is over there —->>. i read it everyday for it’s small nuggets of wisdom.
this cartoon of course is a play on the mel gibson movie ‘braveheart’. here is my brief version of a movie spoiler for you 1 or 2 people out there who haven’t seen it.
BraveHeart: under the oppressive boot of king edward of england, scotsman william wallace (played by mel gibson) led a ‘commoners’ revolt of hundreds and hundreds of scots from the surrounding clans who volunteer to join Wallace’s militia.
after many bloody battles, william wallace is caught and tried for high treason. he denies the charges, declaring that he had never accepted obama edward as his king. the high english court responds by sentencing him to be ‘purified by pain.’ so in a london square, william wallace is tortured, hanged, racked, and disemboweled. the magistrate offers him a quick death in exchange for a plea for mercy. the crowd watching his torturous slow death are awed by wallace’s courage, they begin to yell for mercy to be given to him.
william wallace signals to the magistrate that he wishes to speak. using every last bit of strength in his body, he cries out, ‘FREEDOM!’ as he is beheaded. all of scotland mourned.
do you see any correlation to our current circumstances - whether real or imaginary? i think chris muir’s point is very well taken. we can rack up our twitter followers with #tcot and all of that; we can join political groups on facebook and other social media venues; we can talk about and puff up all the awesome young republicans that are up and coming like eric cantor and others. all of that is fun and gives us a sense of solidarity with each other. a feeling of ‘we are not alone’ in all of this mess.
but frankly, it’s not enough to win elections or push back against the duplicity of the messiah and his minions.
we need an army of william wallaces: on liberal blog sites who will face down liberal smears and lies; we need real bodies to volunteer on the local level, for GOP groups, candidates, issues. (i am in one gop women’s group in my county and i am the youngest person there by about 30 years!); i also think we need $$ for more conservative 527 groups to combat the lies of the left that our candidates refuse to take on. the left is well funded by soros and others and are not beneath taking the low road on anything.
will it cost us our heads? lol. most likely not. but really, would we hand over our precious freedom and liberties to these people without a serious battle? some say our country can withstand anything. no it can’t. a lot of damage can be done in just a few years by bloated, complicated policies that will take a lifetime to unravel. resistance comes in many forms i know. but for me, i would like to see more william wallaces.

I just for once wanted to be the first comment instead of Kevin.. **LOL**
February 15th, 2009 at 3:25 pm
Just when I think I’ve read the most ridiculous drivel EVER on a right wing site, I come here to Miss Joan of Arc’s site and read this.
Are you calling for anarchy? It sounds that way to me.
And Lee Ann you get the gold star today. BFD.
February 15th, 2009 at 3:26 pm
I need to really study your rant before I can fully respond by my BBQ ribs are calling my name. But I will be back.
February 15th, 2009 at 4:06 pm
“Are you calling for anarchy? It sounds that way to me.”
Of course it sounds that way to you Kevin the cop hating, military hating, Anti-Semite, because anyone who dares to disagree with the neo-socialists are anarchists!! You blindly follow anything Obama says or does without batting an eye. You and your flock of sheeple are some of the most pathetic people I’ve ever seen. Think for yourself for once in your life. Try it, you might like it.
Kate was saying that its not enough to give great speeches, especially when you are faced with the most devious, lying, cheating group of hate mongers in American politics. She is saying that we have to get the word out because our lapdog press isn’t going to do it.
February 15th, 2009 at 4:44 pm
“we can rack up our twitter followers with #tcot and all of that. we can join political groups on facebook and other venues. we can talk about and puff up all the awesome young republicans that are up and coming like eric cantor and others. all of that is fun and gives us a sense of solidarity with each other. a feeling of ‘we are not alone’ in all of this mess.”
I think this is hilarious. You really are trying to implement what we liberals have been doing for years. You had a candidate this past election that was not even computer savvy. Why would you really think that using social media will make a difference for your party?
It really sounds like you GOP’s are licking your wounds and playing pop psychology with superheroes because you really have NO ONE in your party that is a clear leader. You can’t even really name them. Canter? He was passed over for that nitwit Palin. He is a Jew! Your party will never give a nod to a Jew. It will have to be some old white guy that’s on his last legs.
I am glad a cartoon makes your day Katie.
February 15th, 2009 at 4:55 pm
Kevin;
“Are you calling for anarchy? ”
Whats the matter Kevin ? Is protest only valid when it comes from the left in forms of anarchy that consist of moonbats blocking traffic, hallways, enterances, human sheilds, code pink freaks running thru the halls of congress with blood on their hands, blowing up recruiting centers and disrupting christians worshipping or rioting because you cant say that you’re “married” ?
Arent you worried about the carbon offset the grill and asshole those ribs were attached to will cause ?, giving you a sunburn ?
Jane, you ignorant slut.
What would you expect us to do ?
Depend on the liberal media that made a messiah out of a street hustler ?
February 15th, 2009 at 4:57 pm
“I think this is hilarious. You really are trying to implement what we liberals have been doing for years.”
That’s true, unfortunately we conservatives have to work to pay all those taxes that you neo-socialists can spend, so we can’t spend weeks out in the streets.
“You had a candidate this past election that was not even computer savvy.”
Actually, Jane, he can’t use a computer because of the wounds he received in Vietnam after being shot down and tortured for months. He can’t raise his arms only so far and sitting in the position to use a computer causes him pain.
You stay classy, Jane!!!
“I am glad a cartoon makes your day Katie.”
And I’m glad that making completely stupid, racist statements lets you feel important. We should really all thank you, though. Since you put Castro in the White House the GOP has been revitalized. THANKS!!!
February 15th, 2009 at 6:29 pm
geez kevin… I wasnt being mean… BFD… thats uncalled for.. I just find it humorus that you hate this blog yet you are the first one on here ALL the time. Thanks for the gold star! I like it!

February 15th, 2009 at 6:46 pm
“You had a candidate this past election that was not even computer savvy.”
Yea, but can you land an F-17 on an aircraft carrier ?
“I think this is hilarious. You really are trying to implement what we liberals have been doing for years.”
So what ?
You all learned how to draw the same pic on an etcha sketch, now we know what you’re drawn to.
President Cleveland was afraid of electrical switchs so will that be your best weapon when people using computers becomes as passe as wiping their asses ?
Its really not something to be all that proud of as evolutions like this in society usually spread in no time once the technology is simplified and becomes commonplace.
Remember, its the message itself and not how its carried that matters.
The message in about 6 months is going to be “were f*cked, thanks Obama”
February 15th, 2009 at 8:08 pm
“Yea, but can you land an F-17 on an aircraft carrier ?”
LMFAO ya neither can he. he crashed 2 or 3 of them trying to land. Do yer research idiot.
February 15th, 2009 at 8:34 pm
“do you see any correlation to our current circumstances - whether real or imaginary?”
Oh Katie. We are a republic with duly elected representation not a monarchy. Surely you are not suggesting that Barack was not elected by the people?
“we can rack up our twitter followers with #tcot and all of that; we can join political groups on facebook and other social media venues; we can talk about and puff up all the awesome young republicans that are up and coming like eric cantor and others ”
The GOP is not tech savvy whatsoever. You depend on old money. We have technology and those who created it on our side. You can never catch up much less overtake our ability to connect quickly with the people to move and election machine where it needs to go.
“all of that is fun and gives us a sense of solidarity with each other. a feeling of ‘we are not alone’ in all of this mess.”
Good God child! It’s not like a monster is under your bed! Or you will be sent to the gulag. We are all Americans.
“but frankly, it’s not enough to win elections or push back against the duplicity of the messiah and his minions.”
Sensible. Glad you see this. Now tell your fan club that hangs on your every word.
“we need an army of william wallaces: on liberal blog sites who will face down liberal smears and lies; we need real bodies to volunteer on the local level, for GOP groups, candidates, issues. (i am in one gop women’s group in my county and i am the youngest person there by about 30 years!); i also think we need $$ for more conservative 527 groups to combat the lies of the left that our candidates refuse to take on. the left is well funded by soros and others and are not beneath taking the low road on anything.”
If that is your action plan, no wonder you all lose all the time. The liberal blogs would chew your fan club up and spit them out — like a wedgie in wet underwear. The GOP collectively is lousy at understanding how to defend against us. They know this yet refuse to change tactics. If it weren’t actually for a few conservative bloggers and the hot air that imminates from right wing radio, you would be decimated.
“will it cost us our heads? lol. most likely not. but really, would we hand over our precious freedom and liberties to these people without a serious battle?”
Really the funniest line in the whole rant. You should have thought of this BEFORE the election. Now go get me a beer and my slippers.
February 15th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
Actually I agree with this. Wholeheartedly. We should be taking to the streets and shutting things down over this bill and the things to come. Instead?
We send emails and twitter to each other our outrage!
And Kevin. You seem to be quite an ASS.
February 15th, 2009 at 9:13 pm
“Oh Katie. We are a republic with duly elected representation not a monarchy. Surely you are not suggesting that Barack was not elected by the people?
No you idiot.
Katie was refering to the similarities between an oppressive collectivist regime based on a socialistic economic theory.
“The GOP is not tech savvy whatsoever. You depend on old money. We have technology and those who created it on our side. You can never catch up much less overtake our ability to connect quickly with the people to move and election machine where it needs to go.”
What a load of horsesh*t.
I’ll repeat myself.
“You all learned how to draw the same pic on an etcha sketch, now we know what you’re drawn to.
President Cleveland was afraid of electrical switchs so will that be your best weapon when people using computers becomes as passe as wiping their asses ?
Its really not something to be all that proud of as evolutions like this in society usually spread in no time once the technology is simplified and becomes commonplace.
Remember, its the message itself and not how its carried that matters.”
The message in about 6 months is going to be “were f*cked, thanks Obama ”
I think what your saying is that you’re all a bunch of mindless f8cks all connected as a collective like the BORG who answers to only one thought.
Now, if guys can start looking like Jeri Ryan, you might have something going for you.
So you launched a campaign using a computer, whoopdy f*ckin dooey for you.
If you really believe that any other political persuasion couldnt do the same then you’re not worthy of honest thought.
Not so much in your case Kevin because you seem to have been challenged in the area of actually using it to obtain any sort of relevant knowldedge in making a coherant argument.
“Good God child! It’s not like a monster is under your bed! Or you will be sent to the gulag. We are all Americans.”
Actually, socialism is usually the Trojan horse that has ushered in communism in almost every creation of a communist state.
Note the latest Newsweek cover title. “We are all socialists now”
“Sensible. Glad you see this. Now tell your fan club that hangs on your every word.”
Its painfully obvious that no one hangs on your words, or else they’d have sh*t on their hands.
“If that is your action plan, no wonder you all lose all the time. ”
Just remember this historical fact.
Elections and politics are cyclatic, republicans win more presidential elections than dems. 18 times out of 28 since the democratic party was created with more and more frequency since the great depression.
“The liberal blogs would chew your fan club up and spit them out ”
Certainly this attribute, if it exists, is not credited to you or any liberal I have ever debated.
“Now go get me a beer and my slippers.”
Only after you bust out your knee pads and take out your teeth.
You, you… exotic little animal you. Grrrr.
February 15th, 2009 at 11:09 pm
You know, I just can’t add to what Micky said. So I’ll just say ditto!
February 15th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
Oh and Kevin, get your own d#@& beer!
February 16th, 2009 at 6:21 am
Kevin you continue to show a complete lack of comprehension skills. Stick to comic books or the New York Times, they seem to be more your speed.
February 16th, 2009 at 6:28 am
Good God child! It’s not like a monster is under your bed! Or you will be sent to the gulag. We are all Americans.
We conservatives have been saying the same thing to you liberals for the past 8 years.
Yes we are all Americans, and 48% of us did not elect P.BO to office. So that gives 48% of us the right to political dissent.
Just like liberals had the right for the past 8 years.
The difference now will be we won’t be calling on anyone to die - like liberals did when Tony Snow was diagnosed with cancer. We won’t call into question the very foundation of a person’s life like liberals did with Sarah Palin and her family.
February 16th, 2009 at 10:49 am
ya. I think we need to be loud, in your face, andin the streets. The Gop is just too polite and because of that we lose.
February 16th, 2009 at 11:50 am
Some interesting thoughts, kate. But what brings the general population back to reality, as it always has, is when liberal policies are tried, because they always fail. BHO is going to fail, this latest pork bill is going to fail, the economy is not going to turn around anytime soon, unemployment will continue to increase, hyper-inflation will be coming our way in the next few years, people with money are not going to take risks until the left has their power reduced.
And there’s clear signs the left doesn’t want any opposition despite the “liberal blogs would chew your fan club up and spit them out” lie they tell themselves. They’re wanting the “Fairness Doctrine” reintituted which automatically says they don’t want to compete in the free market of ideas, they want their unpopular opinions given as much airtime as those of conservatives. They already have ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, PBS, NPR, the NYT, Washington Post, LA Times, etc… already strongly Dem and strongly liberal, and yet they want Fox and conservative talk radio to be taken off the air, those being the only semi-marginal conservative media out there.
They even have to redefine conservative vs. liberal to mean corporate vs. non-corporate in order to make an attempt to claim the MSM are right-wing. The difference between conservative vs. liberal is limited gov’t vs. big gov’t, it’s never been corporate vs. non-corporate, but that’s the lie they have to invent. That tells me they’re scared.
More and more of the libs blogs and poll-sites I’m reading are worried about the latest pork bill and it not working. They’re blogging hard to get Congress to outlaw opposing viewpoints. They’re also worried that their whole support for BHO has placed many of their organizations like moveon, codepink, etc… in a position where they can’t critize him, that he can ignore them without consequence, and they’re already listing events where’s he done exactly that.
They’ve over-reached……… again. They bought a “cult of personality” candidate who’s an empty suit. It’s more than obvious the idiot doesn’t know what he’s going to do. He’s winging it, hoping that by throwing money at it will work, and it won’t. He doesn’t have the trust of the true citizens in America who really count, that is the achievers, those of us who actually own and continue to produce the wealth. He’s got the support of the worthless, the simple-minded, the leeches of society, the sheeple, the followers, the ghetto bums, those who confuse emotion and “feeling good” with logic and analysis, those who believe the gov’t owes them a living, and that every need can be found in the Constitution as a “right.” IOW, he’s got the support of liberals. When they figure out their free ride doesn’t exist, even some of them will turn against him. Others never will, there’s no accounting for the hard core whackos, but they’re too stupid to know what to do anyway, and even if they did they don’t have the money.
February 16th, 2009 at 11:51 am
Well said Kevin. Nice torturing, hanging, racking, and disemboweling of the post metaphorically speaking.
February 16th, 2009 at 11:57 am
“resistance comes in many forms i know. but for me, i would like to see more william wallaces.”
You R calling for anarchy. The GOP wouldn’t know how to take to the streets if they took a 2-week class on it. Why don’t u buy Rules for Radicals. That might help u lame-o’s.
February 16th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
Asia, you idiot.
You might want to read up on the American revolution and how it was exactly people like us who revolted against exactly what Obama is doing now.
This bill is the largest example of taxation without representation by a monalithical government that this country has ever seen.
You idiots seem to think that you have somehow cornered the market on public dissent ?
No. I beg to differ.
All you have done is make awkwardly embarrasing displays of yourselves giving you the appropriate title “the loony left’.
Blowing up recruitment centers, rioting, vandalism, dressing up like a three ring circus, blocking traffic, dissrupting services and congress, spreading insane conspiracies, calling people liars when you couldnt prove it, never did a thing for you morons other than make it painfully aware on what side the miscreants lay.
Jared, you simplistic POS.
Would you care to refute the facts I posted in the face of Kevins asinine post ?
Or continue your grammatical act of performing 69 on each other ?
February 16th, 2009 at 1:06 pm
“Well said Kevin. Nice torturing, hanging, racking, and disemboweling of the post metaphorically speaking.”
LOl!!!! A ringing endorsement from Jared! Well, that tells you all you need to know about Kevin……..and Jared. LOL!!!
“You R calling for anarchy.”
Ah, so now dissent is “anarchy”. Seems just a few short months ago dissent was patriotic. Hmmmmmm.
“The GOP wouldn’t know how to take to the streets if they took a 2-week class on it.”
I couldn’t agree more, we’re too busy working for a living to hang out on the street for days at a time. We’ve got to make some money so O. Husseion can piss it all away on your liberal pet projects. Your’re welcome.
“That might help u lame-o’s.”
Nah, as was stated previously, we’ll just give the country a chance to see the neo-socialist policies in action. That should be all we need. I just hope the damage that is done can be reversed.
February 16th, 2009 at 5:39 pm
HA! Look at this you simps! This is EXACTLY what your weak-kneed republican representatives will do when they go home:
“”Rep. John Mica was gushing after the House of Representatives voted Friday to pass the big stimulus plan.
“I applaud President Obama’s recognition that high-speed rail should be part of America’s future,” the Florida Republican beamed in a press release.
Yet Mica had just joined every other GOP House member in voting against the $787.2 billion economic recovery plan.”"
Here is the link to that. http://www.mcclatchydc.com/251/story/62181.html
You guys love to rant around here. Well this is what you got to fight your battles. LMFAO. We win. And we keep winning.
February 16th, 2009 at 5:50 pm
This is a pitiful. Geezz. Micky grow up will ya? U sound like some b-movie thug with a potty mouth. Hardly a good spokesmanl for the sanctimonious GOP.
February 16th, 2009 at 6:07 pm
“You guys love to rant around here. Well this is what you got to fight your battles. LMFAO. We win. And we keep winning.’
And America keeps losing….and losing. You a Republican who applauds the rail system and somehow that is some sort of victory? Talk about pitiful.
From that same McClatchy:
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/227/story/62082.html
“The compromise economic stimulus plan agreed to by negotiators from the House of Representatives and the Senate is short on incentives to get consumers spending again and long on social goals that won’t stimulate economic activity, according to a range of respected economists.”
Hmmmm, a WIDE RANGE OF RESPECTED ECONOMISTS. So go ahead and pat yourself on the back for having a Republican who likes the rail system. The economists know this plan will fail. Congratulations.
“Hardly a good spokesmanl for the sanctimonious GOP.”
Yet you, Asia, are an excellent spokesman for the hypocritical and lying DNC.
February 16th, 2009 at 6:12 pm
Oh, and before you go getting too happy, there were 7 DEMOCRATS who saw this plan as a bad idea and voted AGAINST it:
Bright
DeFazio
Griffith
Minnick
Peterson
Shuler
Taylor
So I guess 7 trumps your 3, huh? Keep trying though, you’re very entertaining.
February 16th, 2009 at 7:03 pm
“This is a pitiful. Geezz. Micky grow up will ya? U sound like some b-movie thug with a potty mouth. Hardly a good spokesmanl for the sanctimonious GOP.”
And you sound like Ace Venturas talkin ass.
You never contribute anything of cat or relevance except for your demure and childish rants.
I’ll get down in the gutter and drag you around so bad everyone will think a giant snail left a trail on the sidewalk or I’ll debate in the most eloquent and well spoken methods you could imagine.
I fera the latter would be your only level of comprehension.
Jared, you’re beyond help, God you’re stupid.
February 16th, 2009 at 7:04 pm
You never contribute anything of cat or relevance except for your demure and childish rants.
sorry, cat is fact.
