I do it every chance I get. Everytime we travel we bump into military personnel in ariports and I always shake their hands and thank them. It’s like meeting my heroes every time I do.

My computer is screwed so I cant see the video.
My awkward moment was with my neigbors.
Every weekend for the last month or so they’ve been paertying and raising hell till 4 am. Finally one night I went over there to bitch them out and saw it was a bunch of Marines who all looked as if they’d done a tour or two. I explained why I was there but told em screw it, party on guys, if anyones got the right to raise hell and have some fun its you. I went home and yanked a bottle of champagne from the cellar and brought it back to them.

Like Ken, I do it every chance I get as well. On our last vacation I had the opportunity to do it on the way out - even took pictures for the family of the soldier - and on the way home.
My mom lives about 40 minutes outside of Bangor, ME. She has had the incredible opportunity at least 4 times to be at the Bangor Airport when the troops either come thru as they are deployed or come home. She has stood in line, shaking hands and giving out hugs. She even called me once while she was doing it, so I could say a thank you over the phone.

The libs here skipped right over this thread. That says a lot.
I see military flyboys at the FBO from time to time and say hello and that I appreciate what they’re doing. Always nice men and women.

Love this! Thanks so much for posting it, may have to put it on my own blog. Great video, and though I always tell them ‘thank you for your service’ I really like the idea of using the ASL sign. So simple and beautiful.

i have often babbled on and on to military folk i see but i was thinking this would be a wonderful way for anyone even the most shy among us to say thanks.
