more lying eyes: obamacare’s single payer option

Date August 4, 2009

hey, don’t believe your lying eyes! that’s the position the white house is taking for damage control on this video that shows The iOne, in his own words, hoping his healthcare plan will eventually become a ’single payer’ or government-run plan. this, of course, is something that the lying democrats - led by obama himself - have denied since the very beginning.

well, here’s obama in his own words:

obama on single payer option

oops!

well the white house is sending out one of it’s former reporters-now-propagandists to re-tool the message for public consumption:

linda douglas, former news reporter - now obama apologist

sorry linda. obama CLEARLY says that he wants to eliminate employer coverage over time. he CLEARLY says he favors a single-payer system. note that the white house machine doesn’t even try to morph this position from candidate obama to president like most would think they would do, rather, they simply insinuate that we are all idiots and liars claiming that people who see these clips aren’t hearing barack obama say exactly what he did indeed say.

watch the clip - he said them.

the obama administration and the democrats behind this are all such. incredible. liars. socializing medicine in the form of this bloated monstrosity is simply wrong for our country. conservatives know it. even progressives know it… btw, is this the hope and change you voted for?

tell god, jr. and his flying monkeys NO. don’t let them get away with this.

Geez lady, just how dumb do you think we are ?

If anything theres a definite conflict he needs to explain here.
Barry says we’ll be able to keep the policies we have if we like. Right. What hes not telling us is that there will be nothing to want to keep once the public sector squeezes out the private. Just like with the Cash for lunkers deal. People will rush this gody bag til it goes broke in record time. People see easy money or a free(supposedly) program and they run for it. The same will happen if this is passed. Everyone will take the public policy and worry about letting someone else pay for it. The free market doesnt offer nor does it function on freebeees, it will die, millions of jobs will be lost, more will go on unemployment and at the same time have to take Barrys health care plan. Thats another huge burden put on a revenue we dont have.
This whole thing is so f*cked up and so stupid its goes beyond insanity. I suspect even Barry knows this but doesnt care as his whole objective is to get everyone as reliant on big bro as he can so we’ll have no choice but to vote for him and his buddies in 2012.
I’m just glad I have the coverage I have when I got it, boy am I glad.

It’s not just insurance Pennie, it’s also the pharma-companies that suck us dry. It’s not about lies. There are no lies. It’s about the Republicans who are once again running a fear campaign to defeat this healthcare reform.

Keep guessing Pennie, no one said any such thing.
You think the fed wont bastardize this any worse than it already is if its passed ?

The thing is that you may call them 2 bit whores but the fact is that they do need to make a profit because theyt have this thing called research and employess that need to be maintained.
Whereas Obama is a just a skank bitch slut who gives it away for free at everyone elses expense without til this day being able to explain how he’ll pay for it all.
(without breaking yet another campaign promise)

More then 85% of Americans like their insurance. Not only do the want to keep it, they also don’t want to spend 1 Trillion and rising, according to the CBO, for the other 15% to get some sort of coverage while losing the overall quality of what they have. Obama needs to go. He’s been nothing but a disaster. I am ashamed to say I voted for him.

  8. PenniePan said:

Oh really Joe?????? Well why shouldn’t all Americans have good quality health care just like you??? Barack Obama had nothing to do with uninsured Americans. That’s what he’s fixing if you selfish Republican obstructionists would get out the way!!

  11. micky said:

Pennie, you really dont know what you’re talking about, do you ?

Why do you go off on Joe saying that Obama had nothing to do with those uninsured when he never implied any such thing ?
You seem to forget that health insurance is not a right guranteed to our citizens.
If you cant afford it the government already has systems in place for those.
    Cobra, medicaid etc.

What about all those who want to keep what the’ve got ? Are you selfish liberals going to shove something down the throats of millions of Americans that they dont
want just to make your pi$ a$$ little 15% happy ?

And you talk about “selfish” !!
    get a clue baby.

Right now it is the freakin insurance fat cat that determines if a very ill patient receives treatment to live or not.

    Why is that??

Should not the physician know better? Of course! But the insurance bureaucrats think they know better than the patient’s treating physician! It’s all about money and being grubbers. That Republicans would have the gall to try to whip up fear by invoking the idea of someone getting “between you and your doctor” is too reprehensible and despicable for words. Healthcare should be a family value but again, the Republicans are the fakes and would keep the most vulnerable in our country uncared for.

My son broke his collarbone while we were on vacation and we went to the Emergency Room there. They did a fabulous job, took care of us, xrayed him and wrapped the arm and sent us to our orthopedist when we got home two days later. It wasn’t untill the very end of our visit at the ER, that they politely asked if we had health insurance (which we do). The hospital enployee was visably relieved, and billed our insurance $3,000 for the 90-minute visit and xray. I was charged $3,000 for an xray and sling, SO THE HOMELESS, THE WORKING POOR, AND ILLEGAL ALIENS CAN GET THE CARE THEY NEED FOR FREE.

The healthcare system in this country is working pretty good so far.

Everyone who had any intelligence whatsoever knew B.O. (god Jr.) was lying when he said this. This has been his intention since day one. There will be enough lackeys in the media, as well on this site, that will cover for Barack.

As expected the resident Obamasheep tried to change the subject from Obamas lying to “YOU HATE THE POOR!”. No surprise there. Try sticking to the subject fellas, if you can.

Sadly, for the libs, they are in the minority here as more Americans are starting to appreciate their health care. Perhaps because they might see it go away:

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/august_2009/confidence_in_u_s_health_care_system_has_grown_in_recent_months

“Forty-eight percent (48%) of U.S. voters now rate the U.S. health care system as good or excellent. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that just 19% rate it as poor.

The new polling also shows that 80% of those with insurance rate their own coverage as good or excellent. That’s up from 70% in May. ”

This certainly does not mean that our health care system is perfect, but it certainly is much better than people think. Apparently, however, the dems feel that they know what is better for you than you do. How typical.

Here’s a good example of some of that excellent health care in countries with “socialized medicine”.

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tim-graham/2009/08/04/dont-get-lower-back-pain-britain

“Tens of thousands with chronic back pain will be forced to live in agony after a decision to slash the number of painkilling injections issued on the NHS, doctors have warned.” Laura Donnelly reported:

The Government’s drug rationing watchdog says “therapeutic” injections of steroids, such as cortisone, which are used to reduce inflammation, should no longer be offered to patients suffering from persistent lower back pain when the cause is not known.

Instead the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is ordering doctors to offer patients remedies like acupuncture and osteopathy.”

This is just one example of what happens when government runs health care. Not to mention the astronomical cost which, of course, will start at $1 trillion but that will not be enough. Remember, these are the same geniuses who budgeted $1 billion for the cash for clunkers and are now looking for another $2 billion because 1 billion wasn’t enough. Without doubt, $1 trillion will not be enough so they will have to budget even MORE billions or trillions. It never ends.

As expected, the liberals idea of better health care for all is just dragging down the quality of health care for everyone, not raising it for some.
Considering the libs on this site were itching for a debate on health care, their arguments are pretty stale, predictable, and pathetic.

    Jared.
You think at a certain point the public plan wont deny you either ? That’s the biggest part of the problem with the public plan. Granny only gets pain killers from now on because she’s only gonna be around for a couple more years.
With the private sector you at least have the option to pay into a better plan.

All you guys, Jared, Gene, Tina, your arguments are old, defeated.

    Gene;
“insurance companies usually make decisions on a profit loss margin. there may be a *few* cases where what they do something from a humanitarian point of view, but the vast majority of cases are just cost analysis. don’t lie republicans! you know this to be true.”

    See my reply to Jared.

    Tina;
“Right now it is the freakin insurance fat cat that determines if a very ill patient receives treatment to live or not.

    Why is that?? ”

Not so until the policy is maxed out, the doctor makes all decisions up to the point where the level of coverage ends, as does with all policies, even Obamas. Which in that case its the dem fat cat that would be deciding Granny’s fate

“But the insurance bureaucrats think they know better than the patient’s treating physician!”

But the democrat bureaucrats think they know better than the patient’s treating physician!”

“It’s all about money and being grubbers.”

its all about making sure you’re dependent on the fed for everything just to garner votes in 2012.

“That Republicans would have the gall to try to whip up fear by invoking the idea of someone getting “between you and your doctor” is too reprehensible and despicable for words.”

Yet you’re okay with the other 85% in this country having sub standard care shoved down their throat just so you all can look as if you care

” Healthcare should be a family value ”

Then tell the dems to but out.

” Republicans are the fakes and would keep the most vulnerable in our country uncared for.”

I’ll bet you don’t even know what it is we tried to bring to the table.

Please read my comments or something else besides the generic propaganda you hear from your leader. There’s more to this than just attacking people on an emotional level. This bill in conjunction with all the other policies that we cant afford right now would be the end of our economy as we know it.
Millions will be out of work in the private sector, draining welfare, medicaid and unemployment benefits even more, the system will go broke and then no one will have coverage.

Please tell me Tina, Jared, Gene, Pennie, Jane.
Name one government run service competing with the private sector that has ever worked or been better.

the problem with a single payer system can be understood by looking at history.

the founding fathers had experience with a strong central government, albeit a fairly benign one, that nonetheless trampled their liberties and freedoms. that is why they purposely invested private individuals and local government with large amounts of control over their everyday lives. if a local politician or businessman gets out of line, you can easily remove them from office or switch to a competing firm.

now the dems want to give control of your very health to federal administrators who have no stake in your well-being. instead of your family, friends, neighbors and local doctor deciding your fate, they wish to transfer that decision to people who do not know you, and have not the slightest incentive to help you.

  22. micky said:

Speaking of incentives. There’s also no incentive for a public system to be waste conscious. To the left the tax pool is a seemingly never ending supply of revenue that’s much easier to draw from than it is to exercise some fiscal responsibility.
You’re right Lisab. If the liberals want to play the emotion card, then try this.
The doctors and nurses in the offices I go to everyday get to see the little kids hooked up to their chemo, loosing their hair, sick, puking, scared to death. The staff there, they see the people as opposed to a dem beaurocrat seeing just a number.
And I really wish everyone one would stop bashing private insurance companies. Sure, their have been a few that are disgustingly operating with only profit in mind. But make a profit they must or they would defeat the whole purpose of being in business. They are selling a product, a service that when all of us have needed were ever so thankful we had it. Those who paid forever and never used the policy are the ones who still had the peace of mind knowing “if”
My insurance company as few as there’s been has its share of hassles but so far have always been willing to work out of a complication or make a reasonable change.

The system we have works but not to its full capacity. If we could get rid of the problems such as the frivolous lawsuits, make group purchases more easy to acquire, streamline it for efficiency, update the technology, it would become much more accessible and cost friendly for everyone.
It would be a hell of a lot easier to do than what Obama is proposing.
