the totalitarianism of the democrats and obamacare

Date March 19, 2010

like all totalitarians, the democrats led by barack obama and nancy pelosi, seem to believe that the american people and our constitution are simply ‘in the way’ of passing their healthcare reform bill.

it’s really quite remarkable. with the power of their majorities and the ‘awesomeness’ of The One’s power to persuade, it’s come down to a dirty, sleazy, corrupt political process for democrats to get this bill passed. from their shameless arm twisting and thugery to the indefensible, unprincipled favors given for votes, nancy pelosi et al is flipping off democracy. laws? rules? constitution? why bother when, at all costs, obamacare must pass.

remember: these democrats are not ignoring ‘we the people’, they are looking us directly in the eye and saying ’screw you!’. this is what demonstrates that elections have consequences.

the good news is that when a far-leftist from oregon (of all places) flips from a yes to a no vote, the fight is still not over. keep calling. and pray.

Oh brother!!! You’re ranting Kate. Go sit down in the corner with a blankie over your head until it’s all over.

That was so typical of you Pennie. You don’t care if a process is corrupt or not. You only care about winning and beating back Conservatives or the GOP. Someday Pennie this whole Barack Obama shell game will come back to bite you in you in your pathetic ass.

I think Obama used enough bribes and threats to get his vote. He said it himself, the health care bill IS his entire presidency and, of course, that’s all that matter to him, HIS presidency.

I’ve never seen such an impetuous, immature, arrogant, ignorant and inexperienced person occupy the White House.

Pennie, your post is more of a rant; unreasoned, unsupportable & childish. Look at your own works and (lack of) thought, for the love of Pete!

Ken , you hit right on the nail along with Marsha.
These people care less about the the future and stabilty of this country than they do about achieving “the win”

Katie just an FYI: I heard DeFazio flipped back to a yes vote. Obama must have given him something for the freaks in Eugene.

This Health Care boondoggle is being rammed through Congress for one reason… and it’s NOT compassion for the poor and those without insurance. It is solely to bolster up Barack Obama’s presidency. Win at all cost. Make up rules as they go along. This is taking us down a road of irreversible socialism and is going a long way to meet Obama’s goal of fundamentally transforming this country.

    we have open borders

    a bunch of spastic neighbors

    a socialist president

and offer to pick up the very expensive health care costs of any illegal alien that walks through the hospital door …

    what could possibly go wrong?

And I just want to add that TeamRamrod wants this done for “the American people” WOW! are there only 31 million of us now. Because three months ago (I know that is ancient history in this debate) he said this bill was needed to cover the 31 million uninsured. So as long as I don’t go on Medicare, don’t smoke, don’t drink, don’t use a tanning bed, don’t live in “a food desert”, join a Union, don’t drink a soda or eat a salty snack. You know live like Tod Lubich I should not see a tax increase.

    Great stuff

“The pretense of taking care of them” did hit me where it counts.
We dont need” taking care of”. We just need to be the self sufficent Americans we’ve always been
