Date December 15, 2008

ok…does anyone else have the same question? i mean thank god it was a stinkin’ pair of shoes — it could have been a round of bullets.

nice block maliki.

not only did that loser journalist disrespect our president, he disrespected all of us, our blood, and our treasure. and predictably some on the left are making him out to be a hero.

dear president bush — i already miss him — and he has quick reflexes too!

UPDATE 12/16/08:  here is an interesting article about the secret service and this incident.

UPDATE 12/17/08: a regular commenter on this blog who also happens to be a liberal has written a post on this subject. though i disagree with him vehemently, it is well written and mostly thoughtful ;). go check out dade’s post here.

UPDATE 12/24/08: i just replaced the vid. i am not sure what happened to the original. sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for alerting me.

I am surprised it took this long for some open act of hostility toward this Loser of a President. He singlehandedly has distroyed a country and the livlihood of 50 million people. Thank god he is out in a few weeks. And as far as your question regarding the secret service… oh I am sure their reaction time was deliberately slower by a few seconds so that this could happen. They are sick to death of him too.

Kevin with every post you show your ignorance. Your arguments lack any trace of fact or truth. The sources you cite are obviously biased, like you, and provide no real information. You dislike Bush, we get it. At least try providing some sort of point that can be discussed.

Your points about the Secret Service couldn’t be more wrong. I work with another officer who knows several Secret Service agents and they LOVE President Bush. They tell him how Bush invites all of his Secret Service details to his ranch in Texas and holds barbecues for them and their families. As opposed to Clinton, who treated his Secret Service staff like trash. Gotta love those dems. I imagine we will hear the same sort of stories out of the staff that works for Obamessiah.

Try actually getting information from somewhere other than DailyKos and CNN and you may educate yourself every now and then.

Kevin you need to step back. Would you have liked that if it had happened to Obama? I bet not. I do wonder why he was able to do that. It seems if you read up on this journalist, he has been quite verbally abusive about President Bush - but no more then some of your buddies on HuffPo.

Kevin. Do us all a favor and move out of the country. In all these months, you have never said anything good about this country. You hate us. Just get the hell out. Thanks.

  5. Kevin said:

Ken hip hip hurray! One more Bushy fan! Did you see that Zoey? You aren’t alone in the world! Ken here are the facts: the arabs, iraqis, afghans, you name them are NOT CALLING US LIBERATORS! Get that? There is real anger and hostility directed toward this country - you and me and our families - because of one man George Bush. Zoey you say not bullets? Well I am frankly surprised there hasn’t been (god forbid) an attempt against Bush’s life, the hostility against him in the arab world is extreme.

And Ken… OK. Bush does a good BBQ but when he needed help, where were the SS? They PAUSED. Why?

And BikerDan. Get a haircut. You’re too old for that hippy look.

kevin? first off, don’t personally disrespect others on this blog.

secondly, i am pretty much with bikerdan on this one. you have been one of the more chronically unhappy libs that visit us regularly. i am anxious to see if your attitude changes at all when the one takes office in january. i bet no change but hey, surprise me!

and finally, you know that crummy little journalist who threw his shoes? he should be thankful for President Bush and his stance on freedom. if he had done that to Saddam, he would have no head. just a thought kevin.

Once again Kevin, you relay no facts, only childish antics. It’s always entertaining, though, to hear people who have no clue about the real world spew out the typical mantra from the left.

“The world hates us, it’s Bush’s fault!!” I seem to recall quite a few “Death to America” rallies in the mideast long before Bush took over, but again, they probably don’t cover that on DailyKos.

I’m curous though, Kevin, who were we persecuting, invading, occupying, (insert your own verb here), when 9/11 happened??? That seems to be the ultimate manifestation of the hatred directed towards the U.S. Yet at that time we were attacking nobody. Why did it happend Kevin? Where the muslim extremists upset that Bush won the election in 2000? Perhpas the 9/11 attackers were upset at President Clinton? If you bothered to actually look into it, you would find that 2 of the 9/11 attackers wanted to avenge the “mistreatment of muslims in Bosnia”. That’s right! Who sent our troops into Bosnia? Clinton did, and two of the hijackers decided, quite incorrectly, that we had somehow persecuted and mistreated muslims there. Much like you, they were easily influenced and failed to research the topic.

My point wasn’t that Bush gave a good barbecue, it was that his Secret Service loved him. Did the Secret Service hate Kennedy because they didn’t react quickly enough? Did the Secret Service hate Reagen because they didn’t react quickly enough? Saying that they didn’t react quickly enough because they don’ t like him is absolutely ridiculous.

Ignorance is very dangerous, Kevin, making you a very dangerous person.

WHOA - KEN MY MAN - as if the US hasn’t done or condoned atrocities in other countries before 9/11 giving arabs reason after reason to hate us? Get real! Look at the Palestinians for just ONE example. They starve, they have no jobs, they have no future, they live on a postage stamp and have no industry — all because of egocentric nationalistic jews and their big brother the US.

Look what the US does to its own people. The immigrants from Latin America, the Blacks they made slaves. Even women.

You sound like a Bushy talking point.

Kate where do you find these people to front your weak arguments?

  11. Ken said:

Wow, BVD, you sound like a Kevinite! I love how if you don’t hate Bush or trash the U.S. you’re a “Bushy talking point”. However, BVD, you do make my point for me. People have had grudges against this country far longer than Bush was in office, thanks for that.

If you checked your facts, BVD, you would see that muslim extremists kill more muslims than anyone else. You and Kevin seem to get your “facts’ from the same place.

I don’t believe I ever said this country was perfect and never made mistakes. If I did please quote me, if you can’t then don’t put words in my mouth. We’ve backed some bad countries as well as individuals. Yet people continue to pour into this country, why do you suppose that is, BVD? Is it because so many people hate us? That seems unlikely.

As far as the Palestinians, it sounds like you have a little anti-semitism going on their, bud. You should seek some help for that, it’s called information.

    Are you and Kevin roomates??

  12. BVD said:

    @Ken

Look just because I don’t think we should always back Israel in every action they take does not make me a Jew hater. I don’t think they should exist however at the expense of the Palestinians. You are right however that the US is not perfect and has made many many mistakes - especially in Arab regions. The US needs to lose its “Super Hero” complex and roll up its sleeves for peace. Barack will do that for our country. The world already loves him. I am so impressed he is using his middle name of Hussein for his inaugeration. That shows the muslim world we have something in common.

As for Kevin. Don’t know him but he sounds reasonable to me.

  13. Ken said:

“I don’t think they should exist however at the expense of the Palestinians.” Ahhh, things are becoming a bit clearer. Gosh, if I had just seen that one sentence by itself I might have though it was said by Ahmadinejad or Arafat or Bin Laden.

“The US needs to lose its “Super Hero” complex and roll up its sleeves for peace.” Super Hero complex? Please explain. Perhaps it’s someone who says “that America is the greatest country on earth.” Could that be it? No, since the holy one Obama said that, that must not be it.

How do we roll up our sleeves for peace, BVD? I’d love to hear your answer.

“Barack will do that for our country. The world already loves him.” Hmmm, does that make you an Obamy?? As far as the world loving him, I think you’ve been caught up in all the hype. Obama won because he can give a good speech. Period. He has absolutely no record to speak of and what little you can look at doesn’t say much. That’s ok, the same sort of thing happened when Clinton was in office. He was such a “cool guy”, so everyone liked him. His incompetence led us right down the path to 9/11, but so what, right? He was still cool.

Obama will be the second Carter administration, only worse, if that’s possible. He will ignore the real problems and give great speeches while the dangers grow. Of course, most people, like you, will never learn of this because of our one party media which is securely in Obama’s back pocket.

The fact that he is using his middle name for his inaguration impresses you? Why? Isn’t that his name? And why is it that anyone who spoke of his middle name in the campaigns was a right wing, racist, hate mongering, scumbag, yet NOW Obama wants to use his middle name.

“That shows the muslim world we have something in common.” Well we have a winner for the most ridiculous statement in this threat and that’s no easy task when you’re going up against Kevin. If you honestly think that Muslims are going to care that his middle name is Hussein and that in someway that is going to help keep us safe, then God help us.

“As for Kevin. Don’t know him but he sounds reasonable to me.” You know what, BVD, I was wrong……………..THAT was the most ridiculous statement so far. I stand corrected.

Oh so that was eviseration? Hardly.

Bushy is still a warmonger. Millions have died because of him. Iraq is an illegal war. Barack will end all this mess. And Barbie, I mean Kate, and Ken are still the conservative village idiots.

Once again we have yet another liberal/progressive/democrat, or whatever they want to be called this week, who cannot have a rational conversation without childish name calling. Are you sure you don’t work for the Obamy administration already, BVD?

I noticed that your posts, much like Kevin’s, provide no link to any data supporting your claims. Your provide no information, just mantra. You rail against Bush’s “Illegal” occupation of Iraq, but where were you when Clinton sent our troops to Bosnia without a declaration of war or even Congress approval? Do you hold the democrats who voted for the war in Iraq accountable or only Bush?? Where were your evolved sensibilities then? Where was your “concern” for the Iraqi people when they were being raped and tortured to death by Saddam? Your ignorance is exceeded only by your cowardice.

It will be interesting to see how Obamy deals with Guantanomo, since he’s already said he will have to look at everything before making any decision. Funny, I don’t remember him saying that during the campaign. He’s also backtracking on his promise to pull ALL the troops out of Iraq in 16 months. I noticed he also said things in the economy will get worse before he can “fix” it. I don’t seem to recall him saying that either during the campaign. Gosh, I guess when you have to deal with REALITY instead of fantasy, like BVD and Kevin do, things look a bit different.

I look forward to the first time Obamy uses military force against a nation. Will there be cries of “warmonger!”, “fascist!”, or “terrorist!”??? Will the media ask Obamy if he is going to encourage his daughters to join the military when he does use military force??? Somehow I doubt it.
