First of all welcome to Blatherings! This blog is the product of musings and gibberish and noteable thoughts from a conservative republican Woman who lives in one of the most liberal states in the Union - Oregon. Her conservative friends, who also live in blue states, are contributing bloggers.

It is political in nature but will also cover current events. We hope you will find this blog interesting, informative, and inspiring. We want you to participate by reading and commenting. If you have ideas for posts, email us.

Respectful discussion and debate from liberals and others who support or take issue with the content of our posts are absolutely welcomed.

Flaming (v) to flame
An online argument that becomes nasty or derisive, where insulting a party to the discussion takes precedence over the objective merits of one side or another (Urban Dictionary).

We will delete comments that fall under this category. We’re the deciders.

We will not tolerate racist comments or other expressions of bigotry and will delete them. We’re the deciders about this too.
