ok. so when former representative eric massa went on glenn beck’s show today, you got confusion, backpedaling, and a whole. lot. of. CRAZY.
after that frenetic interview, who knows if the shower fight with rahm was even true? hotair has analysis here but really, eric massa is a flaming nutroot with a serious credibility issue — exactly like those in the white house he’s fighting with! how much more analysis do you need? dltdhyotwo massa.

not only did angie jackson, age 27, live tweet her abortion, using the RU-486 abortion pill, she created follow-up youtube videos during the process calling her unwanted baby a ‘womb squatter’ and other such lovely terms.
i know i have pro-choice blog friends here but this to me is just utterly wicked, the height of human selfishness, and profoundly sad. if you want to watch the videos of her vile actions to ‘de-mystify’ abortion, you can see some of them here, i’m not putting them up on my blog.

so is the rep. eric massa ethics investigation story more then just another corrupt democrat? maybe. i don’t remember the last time a democrat was investigated by their own party without a lot of outside pressure do you? there was no pressure from anyone to investigate massa. it was a yawn. now apparently we see the democrats, imploding, and hell-bent to destroy massa because he wouldn’t vote for obamacare.
by now you must have heard this account of massa meeting up with rahm emanuel in the congressional gym showers. you just know team obama is more then angry…
“Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil’s spawn, Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) said. “He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive.”
Rep. Massa describes a confrontation with Emanuel in a shower: “I am showering, naked as a jaybird, and here comes Rahm Emanuel, not even with a towel wrapped around his tush, poking his finger in my chest, yelling at me.”
sorry for the visual. now you’ll need to poke your minds’ eye out. massa says his vote was to be the deciding vote on obamacare. we don’t know that to be true — we do know he voted no on obamacare the first time around because it wasn’t liberal enough.
massa has resigned now and we know that democrat governor david patterson will move quickly to fill the seat. we know that massa will be on glenn beck tomorrow to ‘emote’. and we also know that massa, who’s no prince, will most likely wind up with a horse head in his bed courtesy of chicagoland thugery.

update: not only do we have naked shower drama but we also have back waxing drama. i’m so creeped out.

blech. he’s on my tv again. surrounded by his stagecraft, he trots out the stepford doctors and nurses again. and of course ‘the devoted’ gathered to hear him speak, gave The One a standing ovation. he preened, smiling smugly, as he told all of us that the democrats were going to ram their healthcare reform bill down our throats even though we have been vehemently and vocally opposed to it for almost a year. barack obama himself has pushed the button on the nuclear option, disguising it as ‘a simple up and down vote’.
gop leaders supposedly aren’t giving up without a fight. senator john thune, of south dakota, says:
“I don’t want to concede that it’s going to pass for sure yet,” Thune said. “I still think that there’s a lot of clock left in this game.”
republicans will try to use points of order and other procedural maneuvers to slow or stall the hcr bill down. will it make a difference? it might if the citizenry continue to make themselves heard, in an effort to stop this really horrible bill from passing.

so how did she do? i think she was fine — charming, self-effacing, witty, smart. but if (and that’s a big ‘if’) sarah palin is planning a run for the presidency in 2012, i would like to see a bit more serious substance from her. the country is a mess and the world is a scary place. i’m ready to see a conservative republican leader emerge from the pack of wannabe’s and not on late night tv.

he’s retiring so i suppose he’s making the most out of the fact he owes none of them anything. senator jim bunning’s (r-ny) 4-day standoff over goverment spending with his fellow senators on both sides of the aisle has become the poli-buzz of the week.
jim bunning’s standoff is because just days ago democrats pushed through the so-called ‘pay as you go’ or paygo rule which they characterized as a plan to maintain ‘fiscal responsibility’. the stinking ink on the paper is still wet and they moved on to this – a spending bill that ‘quietly’ ignores the rules that THEY have just written.
under huge pressure, bunning has been holding firm on his opposition to proposed legislation that would extend unemployment benefits. the LEFT is trying to paint it as a REPUBLICAN effort to obstruct and take much-needed money from struggling american families while many on the RIGHT are calling for bunning to stop before it is viewed as exactly that by the american people.
though i am not a huge bunning fan — he’s cranky and a bit loopy — i admire the fact that right now, he is speaking truth to power on both sides. jim bunning wants the $10 billion price of extending the unemployment program offset by reductions in spending elsewhere in the budget (like those billions of unspent stimulus dollars) to not drive up the deficit unnecessarily. the (R’s) who are silent or quietly whispering to him to give in are only playing political chess and are fearful little nimrods instead of holding the line on bloated spending.
bunning isn’t ‘filibustering’ this bill as many are painting it. he’s simply taking his unanimous consent objection to a very ‘nth’ degree. if the dem’s had wanted to, they could have skirted his objection procedurally and moved on to a vote already – they just don’t want to. they’d rather make this a political charade and paint republicans as the people standing in the way of suffering americans and their unemployment benefits.
and mitch mcconnell where are you? what about the rest of you conservative fiscal giants? jim bunning is standing alone, saying stop. the. spending. its just pitiful.
btw, the media is already talking like a deal is in the works with bunning. i’ll update the post if thats the case. ugh.
_____
update: bunning accepted a deal.
_____
update 2: bunning is now receiving death threats from the loser loons on the left.

he did it! in just a wee bit over a year’s time, The One has managed a negative approval rating in every state he flipped with all his hopechangery from the george w. bush column to his in the 2008 presidential election. his level of support, in each of those states, is now in the 44-46% range and dropping like the proverbial rock. the state by state rundown is here.

so The One has the very best healthcare possible in the world at his fingertips - no obamacare for him! in his first health checkup since taking office obama, who’s 48, is in excellent health. he still hasn’t kicked that smoking habit of his, he takes anti-inflammatory medication to relieve chronic tendinitis in his left knee, and needs to eat better to lower his cholesterol. one other interesting side note to this report is that obama’s team of doctors also recommend “moderation of alcohol intake.”
now why say that?
considering barack obama is 6′1 and 179 lbs, he could easily drink 3 or 4 beers a day without there being an actual negative effect to concern a doctor.
so how much is obama drinking? is this unseemly to talk about him this way? well, it’s just a curiosity that’s all.

at the risk of sounding like michelle obama, for the first time *in a long time* i am proud of my party.
the gop leadership came to the summit at blair house yesterday prepared. they had a vigorous, incisive style. they were knowledgeable, articulate, passionate without predictable rhetoric, and fairly fearless. surprising to me, they actually were likeable!
in contrast, the democrats WERE predictable with their class warfare sob stories, their blame game accusations, and their lack of ‘memory’ on things like threats to use reconciliation. to a person, the dems were sadly void of facts and details. they looked as if they were not well grounded in sound policy yet they would still rush into this - almost desperately - all to look like their doing something, anything for their leftist base.
and obama? petulant. arrogant. haughty. smug. crabby. there was nothing presidential about him even though he was quick to remind us he was in charge.
there were several republican leaders who i thought did exceptionally well against obama. lamar alexander, who delivered the opening statement for the gop, was awesome. eric cantor’s knowledge of the bill and its landmines was terrific too. but the best was paul ryan from wisconsin:
now after 7 hours of this ’summit’, are we any closer to a healthcare bill? i certainly hope not. and the gop leadership? it seems like they are finally listening. they were wonderfully successful in blunting the waning hopechangery and awesomeness of The One’s tired stagecraft.
