if david letterman had referred to a female democratic politician as he did to sarah palin, then joked about her fourteen-year-old daughter being raped, liberal heads would be exploding all over the country; the media would cover it night and day; letterman would be imus’d; and obama would release a statement within hours.
but when it’s sarah palin and her family, it’s ok? why is that?
letterman calling sarah sluty looking
letterman mocking the rape of sarah’s 14 yo daughter
there is nothing hip, cool or funny about what david letterman said. instead he shows himself to be a bitter and classless creep who thinks denigrating and abusing women and their young daughters for laughs is fun. he is pathetic.
this is just on top of the recent attack against conservative women in which playboy’s guy cimbalo compiled a “Hate F*** List” that was puffed up by politico and since taken down.
when are liberals going to be outraged about this stuff? where are the liberal men who love their wives and daughters? silence.
the so-called feminists are silent. the mainstream media are silent. the so-called hollywood cause celebs are silent. popular culture is silent. even a-rod for gosh sakes, silent.
liberals: why won’t you defend women? all women? especially against something so vile as this?
say something cowards.
update: so obviously feeling some heat, david letterman has issued a non-apology by somehow saying his ‘joke’ was about 18 yo bristol palin not 14 yo willow. that seems to make rape more appropriate?
apparently, he also has invited the palins on his show. they, wisely, will not go because why would they want to give this slimey creep a boost in ratings?
i asked my liberal readers why they won’t defend women — all women. here’s your chance: go after david letterman’s advertisers. don’t stop. email them. multiple emails. persistence is everything. here is a list of them.
CBS maintains an ‘audience services’ telephone number for these types of issues so call it at 212-975-3247. melt their phones.
liberals and conservatives forever complain about a lack of true representation in our government. do you want ordinary citizen politicians? well, the palins are ordinary people. they got into politics for the right reasons. they wanted to serve.
this isn’t about voting for sarah palin.
if you want to break up the gridlock and the good old boy networks that exist on both sides of the aisle and if you want more regular people to get into politics for the right reasons, then all of us had better defend this family.
